Abstract

This study examines the growing impact of social media on adolescents’ self-perception and behavioral patterns in Pakistan. The research highlights how digital platforms shape adolescents’ sense of identity, influence their emotional regulation, and alter their interpersonal relationships. While social media provides opportunities for connection, learning, and creative expression, excessive engagement can lead to self-esteem issues, anxiety, body image dissatisfaction, and risky behaviors. The study uses both psychological and sociological lenses to evaluate how these digital experiences influence adolescent development and social adaptation in the modern era.
